Annealing is performed on the 400 Monel Bright Annealed Tube at a temperature of 926°C. In a de-aerated condition, most monel 400 tube manufacturers note that the alloy has the ability to resist both hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid. At acids modest temperatures and concentrations, the 400 Monel Heat Exchanger Tube is able to offer some resistance to hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid although the alloy is seldom considered to be the ideal choice of material for those applications which contain these acids.
